Internship Opportunity
The Rhody Center for World Music and Dance is seeking one or two interns who will help grow our nonprofit arm and develop our afterschool program.
This person will:

Grow our nonprofit’s donor base

Identify new channels for cultivating donations

Develop afterschool programs in music and dance

Market our programming via social media and other channels

Perform administrative duties such as student registration

Report to the executive director on a regular basis

Provide a background check
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have experience in music or dance education
-
Have experience in fundraising or event planning
-
Have some experience in nonprofit management or administration
-
Have some experience in grant writing
-
Have experience working with young people
-
Be adept at organizing and networking
-
Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Have a true passion for arts education
Depending on the applicants’ specializations, we may break these duties up into two internships. Hours will be Mondays – Thursdays from approximately 4:00 – 9:00 pm, for 10 – 20 hours per week per internship. Interns may also take adults classes for free.
